Who are Care Services Perth Ltd?

We are a family run business devoted to providing the highest-quality relationship-led care for older people in their own homes. We have been at the forefront of specialised home care, supporting those being cared for and their families for over a decade.

What areas do Care Services Perth work in?

We work in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council and provide Care package option 3 (detailed below) providing care in the following areas:

  • Perth City Centre
  • Letham
  • Tulloch
  • Cragie
  • Muirton
  • North Muirton
  • Scone

Who do you provide care for?

We are registered to care for adults, we are happy to provide care for anyone over the age of 18. When it comes to care, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, so we don’t offer one. People are different, so we are different. It’s as simple as that. Every tiny detail of every service we offer is tailored to the needs of the person who requires care, but also their close family.

Some people simply need help outside of the home, such as when they go shopping. Others may need help with personal care including bathing, dressing, and enjoying nutritious meals. Our care and support also takes into account life-changing or long-term illnesses such as dementia, Parkinson’s and many others. Finally, many people we support simply want company and conversation due to loneliness, recent bereavement or the desire for a new friend.

What is home care support?

Providing you meet the Eligibility Criteria, a home care service can support you or loved ones in the home by providing personal care and practical domestic help in a way which fits in with your assessed individual needs and routines, and those of any carers.

In general terms, home care staff can provide assistance with getting up, dressing, undressing and going to bed. As well as this, they can assist with personal hygiene, such as going to the toilet, washing and shaving.

Household tasks are also carried out, such as bed making, laundry and some housework, but only as part of a more complex care package.

How do I arrange care in the home for myself or a relative?

  • Support to carers including advice, respite breaks and day care.
  • Care at Home services including reablement, meals service and Community alarm and telecare service.

What Care Package options does Care Services Perth offer?

We provide all services under Care Option 3 as laid out by Perth & Kinross Council’s Health and Social Care Services team.

Option 3: At Care Services Perth Ltd, we understand the importance of personalised care plans that address the diverse needs of our clients. Our Option 3 service offers a comprehensive range of personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation and medication management. Our skilled caregivers work closely with each resident to ensure their comfort and well-being are prioritized at all times.

Unfortunately, we do not offer option 1 or option 2 below. Should your needs fall into these options, please refer back to your social worker for advice.

Option 1: For Service User’s who prefer a more independent lifestyle with the comfort of knowing assistance is available when needed, our Option 1 service offers essential care and support. This option is ideal for individuals who value their autonomy while still benefiting from the peace of mind that comes with having care professionals close by.

Option 2: Our Option 2 service strikes a balance between independence and comprehensive care. Service User’s under Option 2 receive personalised assistance with daily tasks and enjoy a variety of amenities and activities tailored to their preferences. This option is suitable for those who seek a higher level of support while maintaining an active and engaged lifestyle.

How long does a visit last?

This will be discussed with our clients at the assessments. We will agree how long we think the visit may be and continue to monitor the visits to ensure that the person using the service and the care staff are satisfied.

How is home care and support paid for / charged?

A financial assessment will be carried out with you to determine how much, if anything, you will need to pay towards your services. This assessment takes account of your income and capital, and then calculates your contribution.

As part of the assessment a member of the Council’s Welfare Rights Team will ensure you are receiving all benefits you may be entitled to.

Depending on your financial circumstances, you may be asked to pay a contribution towards the cost of your package of support. This contribution allows us to ensure services are available for those who need them in the future.

Following your assessment, you should be advised which of the services you need are free and which would be chargeable. If chargeable, the social care department may be able to help you find someone to provide those services.

Costs will depend on the amount of support and the complexity of needs. There’s no one-size-fits-all and costs will be discussed at initial assessment stage. There are no hidden or extra costs. We are always completely transparent and set everything out in an agreement prior to any service starting.

What if care needs change over time?

We have a process in place to ensure your loved one’s needs are assessed regularly and the Care Plan is adjusted accordingly. In addition there are opportunities for you to provide us with feedback so we can improve our services:

  • Regular care plan reviews
  • Quality control visits
  • Reassessments
  • Client Satisfaction Surveys
